Water bird watching
Water bird watching tour in Madrid
It is nearly winter, the time when several species that we do not get to see in other seasons visit the reservoirs in the Sierra de Guadarrama mountains.
Seizing the opportunity, we organise various tours of the area to observe overwintering birds such as the pintail, wigeon, common teal, tufted duck, common coot, black-headed gull, common snipe, great cormorant, great crested grebe and many more.
Equipped with land telescopes, we will be visiting one of the best birdwatching reservoirs in the area, the Pedrezuela Dam.
We will set off on a short, gentle trail from there, making stops along the way to discover the water birds that come to visit us at this time of year.
