Join us for a day watching steppe birds on the grain-farming plains of Valdetorres del Jarama, a raised area of great ornithological interest home to species such as the great bustard, the little bustard, the stone curlew or the black-bellied sandgrouse.
This is a wonderful time of year to witness flocks of bustards putting on their eye-catching courtship display and simply enjoy their natural performance as a variety of raptors soar overhead.
We will discover how farmlands where traditional farming methods are used offer a favourable habitat for many species, providing them with food and a nesting place.
A simple birding trail for all age groups, perfect to become more familiar with steppe birds in their natural habitat.
