IBERIAN WOLF QUEST

Welcome to the Iberian wolf watching tour.

The presence of the Iberian wolf is crucial in Spain’s ecosystems, so this experience aims to teach you all about them: their behaviour, movements, habits, tracks…

To do that, we will be travelling to the Sierra de la Culebra mountain area in Zamora, home to one of the densest populations of Iberian wolves, with some long-standing family groups.

We will do up to four waits over the weekend to watch wolves at key spots in the area, equipped with our land telescopes. These animals are frequently seen here, but our chances of an encounter ultimately depend on nature and its conditions.

We will also head out on tracking trails to follow any traces of Iberian wolves and other local wildlife and learn to identify them.

To round off the weekend, there will be a guided tour of the Iberian Wolf Centre in Puebla de Sanabria, where we will get a close look at some key information and curiosities about these animals and their relationship with humankind, as well as a chance to actually see some of them living in semi-freedom.

This experience allows you to choose between travelling all-inclusive* or booking only scheduled activities with us. The all-inclusive option means all you have to worry about is getting here. We will be staying in a country hotel in the area, where guests are made to feel at home and well looked after, getting a taste of the local cuisine.
If you decide to do activities only, we will enjoy sharing all of the waits, trails and the visit to the Wolf Centre with you.
