IBERIAN LYNX QUEST

Welcome to the Iberian lynx watching tour.

Wildmoral and Naturoots bring you the chance to watch and track the Iberian lynx, an endemic carnivore to the Iberian peninsula and the most endangered feline on the planet.

We will be travelling to Sierra de Andújar in the Spanish province of Jaén, one of the areas with the densest population of this species.

There will be up to four waits there over the weekend in key locations, equipped with land telescopes. Although Iberian lynxes are frequently seen here, our chances of an encounter ultimately depend on nature and its conditions.

We also get to take in the area’s Mediterranean scenery, and while the main species of the weekend is the lynx, we will keep an eye out for other species living in the Mediterranean woodland, such as Egyptian mongooses, Spanish imperial eagles, eagle-owls, red foxes, badgers and a long list of other wildlife.

This experience allows you to choose between travelling all-inclusive* or booking only scheduled activities with us. The all-inclusive option means all you have to worry about is getting here. We will be staying in a country hotel in the area, where guests are made to feel at home and well looked after, getting a taste of the local cuisine. If you decide to do activities only, we will enjoy sharing all of the waits and watching trails with you.
