• BIRDWATCHING HIDE "EL OSO"

Birdwatching hide El Oso

This hide stands in the countryside of the village El Oso, in the Spanish province of Avila. It overlooks a pond all year round. The background is far away enough to photograph the subjects on their own at the forefront, and their natural perches stand at different distances affording various framing opportunities.

The species that visit this birding site change throughout the year, but the most likely to make an appearance include kestrels, stone-curlews, Kentish plovers, jackdaws, greylag geese, lapwings, sandpipers and common greenshanks.

The hide measures 7 m by 2.5 m and is 2.3 m tall. It is equipped with large one-way glass windows at the front at varying heights, ensuring that the animals display their natural behaviour whilst photographers stay hidden and comfortable.

The hide has room for 4 photographers or 8 birdwatchers, making it perfect for group sessions.
